This time I have a good excuse for not blogging for a while, I’ve decided to start a new business with a company called Younique, which I’m sooo excited about. They launched in the UK in November and sell beauty and make-up products, which you probably have know/have guessed is a big passion of mine. I didn’t actually go out and decide to start a new a business. I actually saw a couple of posts on facebook from an acquaintance about how amazing her mascara was – which is like a red rag to a bull for me – I had to know more about it. I had a nosey on her page, found out she was talking about Younique and so did a load of research. What I discovered was like a perfect hobby/job in one – selling gorgeous make-up and beauty products online using predominantly social media marketing, networking and online parties. I started less than 2 weeks ago, I absolutely love it already and it doesn’t feel like work or a chore at all. It’s crazily addictive.
And I’m not going to apologise for possibly the amount of blogs that may come off the back of it. Whilst I will post about the fab products they have, I think my blogs will be more about how making this decision, being part of this amazing network of women, being part of Younique is already starting to change me as a person and also my life. I want to share my journey this year with others to show that you don’t have to always be the person you think you’re ‘fixed’ with. I always thought I’d love to blog, have my own business, put myself and my business out there, have a voice and opinion in the social world … but my fall back was always “but that’s not the sort of person I am, I’m not confident, who would want to read my blog …..”. I then started reading self development books, listening to podcasts and decided 2015 was the year I was going to challenge myself with new things, things I’d always wanted to do, and not care what others thought, and I have to say we’re mid Feb and I’m pretty pleased with my progress so far. I think I have already changed and grown as a person more this year than I did all of last year. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings!
I’ll post some links to podcasts and books that I’ve been reading that really started getting me thinking about challenging myself and choosing to go down more unfamiliar routes in my future post!
In the meantime if you want to know more about Younique, their products or becoming a presenter just get in touch or go to my website for more info:
